Because we serve a diverse, international audience with a variety of product types, our delivery methods are split into three distinct categories: Instant Digital Delivery, International Print-on-Demand (POD) Shipping, and Local Egyptian Fulfillment. By placing an order on our website (books.kerolos.work), you agree to the processing times, shipping methods, and tax policies detailed below.

2. Digital Products: Instant Delivery

Processing Time: Immediate.
Delivery Method: Secure Email & Account Dashboard.

All digital products, including eBooks, PDFs, and digital research files, are delivered instantly upon successful payment verification via Stripe (International) or Paymob (Egypt).

The DRM Process: Once your payment is confirmed, our automated system instantly generates a personalized version of your file, embedding a permanent Digital Rights Management (DRM) watermark containing your identifying information to protect our intellectual property.
Accessing Your File: You will receive an automated email containing a secure download link. Additionally, if you created an account during checkout, you can access your digital library at any time via your user dashboard.
Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive your download email within 10 minutes of purchase.

3. International Shipping: Physical Books (Print-on-Demand)

Production Time: 3–5 Business Days.
Shipping Time: Varies by Destination & Selected Courier Tier.

To provide our international readers with premium, environmentally conscious physical books, we utilize a global Print-on-Demand (POD) network integrated with Lulu Direct.

Printing First: Your book is not pulled from a warehouse shelf; it is custom-printed precisely when you order it. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for our printing facilities to manufacture, bind, and quality-check your book before it is handed over to the shipping carrier.
Shipping Speeds: At checkout, you will be presented with various shipping tiers (e.g., Standard, Expedited, Tracked). Delivery times vary significantly based on your global location and the shipping tier selected.
Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes: Kerolos, LLC is not responsible for any customs fees, import duties, or local taxes levied by your country’s border authorities. International customers are solely responsible for paying these fees upon delivery. Delays due to customs processing are out of our control.

4. Local Fulfillment: Egypt (Physical Books & Medical Supplies)

Processing Time: 1–3 Business Days.
Delivery Time: 2–5 Business Days (Cairo & Major Governorates).

Orders placed for delivery within the Arab Republic of Egypt are fulfilled directly by our local Egyptian entity, Breaking Barriers (Law 159). This applies to both physical books printed locally and our inventory of medical/laboratory supplies.

Dispatch: Orders are processed and prepared for dispatch within 1 to 3 business days following payment confirmation via Paymob.
Delivery Logistics: We partner with reliable local couriers to deliver your orders directly to your provided address. Delivery within Cairo and major governorates typically takes 2 to 5 business days. Remote or regional governorates may require additional transit time.
Medical Supply Handling: Medical and laboratory supplies are packaged with strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols to ensure they arrive uncontaminated and ready for professional use.

5. Order Tracking

International POD Orders: Once your physical book has finished printing and is handed to the courier, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to monitor your delivery.
Local Egyptian Orders: Upon dispatch from our local facilities, you will receive an SMS or email notification from our local courier partner with delivery updates and tracking information.

6. Taxes & Compliance

In accordance with international tax laws and our dual-entity corporate structure, taxes are applied based on the customer’s jurisdiction:

United States (New Mexico): Purchases made by residents of the State of New Mexico are subject to the state’s Gross Receipts Tax (GRT), calculated automatically at checkout. International exports shipped from the US are not subject to US sales tax.
Egypt: All digital and physical products (including books and medical supplies) sold locally to customers within Egypt are subject to the standard 14% Value Added Tax (VAT), in strict compliance with the Egyptian Tax Authority regulations. This VAT will be clearly displayed during checkout.

7. Lost or Undelivered Packages

If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered, but you have not received it, please check with neighbors or your local post office. Breaking Barriers is not liable for packages stolen after confirmed delivery. If a package is lost in transit (and the tracking ceases to update for an extended period), please contact our support team so we can investigate with the courier and arrange a replacement if necessary.
