These transactions are legally contracted with Kerolos, LLC, a registered limited liability company in the State of New Mexico, USA. Any international disputes, claims, or legal proceedings shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
- Local Transactions (Within Egypt/MENA): Local purchases processed in EGP via Paymob are contracted with our Egyptian entity, Breaking Barriers, registered under Corporate Law 159. Any disputes arising from local publishing, local supply distribution, or local transactions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
3. Intellectual Property & Digital Rights Management (DRM)
All content published and sold by Breaking Barriers, future literary works, academic journals, website text, graphics, and data—is the exclusive intellectual property of Breaking Barriers, and/or our contributing authors.
Digital Watermarking Agreement: To protect our intellectual property from piracy and unauthorized distribution, all digital products (eBooks, PDFs, and digital research files) are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology.
- By purchasing a digital product, you explicitly agree that identifying information (such as your Name, Email Address, and/or Order ID) will be permanently embedded as a visible or invisible watermark within your downloaded files.
- You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to view the digital content.
- Unauthorized reproduction, sharing, uploading to third-party platforms, or resale of our digital or physical content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate legal action under international copyright laws.
4. Product Use Disclaimers
Given the dual nature of our business, customers must acknowledge the specific intended uses of our products:
- Academic & Investigative Publications: All books, research papers, and digital content are provided for informational, educational, and investigative purposes. The views and theories expressed by authors are their own.
- Medical & Laboratory Supplies: Breaking Barriers distributes high-quality medical, scientific, and laboratory supplies. These items are sold strictly for professional research, educational, or laboratory use. By purchasing these supplies, you warrant that you are a qualified professional, researcher, or institution, and you assume full responsibility for the safe, legal, and ethical use of these materials in accordance with your local laws and regulations. Breaking Barriers accepts no liability for the misuse of laboratory supplies or equipment.
5. Pricing, Taxes, and Payments
We reserve the right to modify prices for our products at any time without prior notice.
- Payment Gateways: International orders are securely processed through Stripe/WooPayments (linked to Mercury Bank, USA). Egyptian local orders are processed securely through Paymob (linked to the National Bank of Egypt).
- Taxes:
- United States: Purchases made by residents of New Mexico are subject to the state’s Gross Receipts Tax (GRT). International exports out of the US are not subject to US sales tax.
- Egypt: All products (digital and physical) sold to customers within Egypt are subject to the standard 14% Value Added Tax (VAT) in compliance with Egyptian tax authority regulations.
- Customs/Duties: International customers purchasing physical goods (Print-on-Demand books via Lulu Direct or physical supplies) are solely responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or local taxes incurred upon delivery.
6. Refund and Return Overview
By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to our comprehensive Refund & Return Policy. As a brief overview:
- Digital Products: Due to their immediate, accessible nature, all sales of digital files (eBooks, PDF downloads) are strictly final and non-refundable once the download link is generated or accessed.
- Physical Goods: Returns for physical books (POD or local print) and medical supplies are only accepted in cases of manufacturing defects or shipping damage, provided they are reported within the specified timeframe.

7. Limitation of Liability
