1. Introduction

Because we operate across multiple distinct product categories—ranging from instant digital downloads to physical medical equipment—our return and refund protocols vary depending on the exact nature of the item purchased.

By completing a purchase on our website (books.kerolos.work), you acknowledge and agree to the specific terms outlined in this comprehensive Refund & Return Policy. This policy applies to all global transactions processed via Kerolos, LLC (USA) and all local transactions processed via Breaking Barriers (Egypt).

2. Digital Products (eBooks, PDFs, and Digital Research)

Policy: All Sales Are Final.

Due to the immediate, accessible nature of digital goods, and in order to protect the intellectual property of our authors, we strictly do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for any digital products.

  • Instant Access & DRM: The moment your payment is fulfilled via Stripe or Paymob, a secure, personalized download link is automatically generated. As detailed in our Privacy Policy, these files are instantly encoded with a permanent Digital Rights Management (DRM) watermark containing your personal identifiers.
  • Because the file is irreversibly watermarked and delivered instantly, we cannot revoke access or accept a “return” of a digital file.
  • Exceptions: There are absolutely no exceptions for “buyer’s remorse,” purchasing the wrong format, or failure to read the book description. If you experience technical difficulties downloading or opening your file, our support team will provide a replacement link or technical assistance, but a refund will not be issued.

3. Physical Publications (Print-on-Demand & Local Print)

Policy: Replacements for Defects or Damage Only.

Whether your physical book is printed internationally via our Print-on-Demand partner (Lulu Direct) or locally within Egypt, each copy is printed specifically for your order.

  • No Buyer’s Remorse: We do not accept returns or issue refunds for physical books if you simply change your mind, order the wrong title, or no longer need the book.
  • Manufacturing Defects & Transit Damage: We will gladly issue a free replacement copy if your book arrives with a clear manufacturing defect (e.g., missing pages, upside-down printing, severe binding issues) or incurs severe damage during transit.
  • Reporting a Defective Book: To be eligible for a replacement, you must contact us at help@kerolos.work within seven (7) days of the delivery date. You must include your Order ID and clear photographic evidence of the defect or damage. Once verified, we will expedite a replacement copy to you at no additional charge.

4. Medical & Laboratory Supplies

Policy: Strictly Regulated. Returns for Defective/Damaged Goods Only.

Medical and laboratory supplies are highly sensitive items intended for professional research and educational use. Due to strict health, safety, and contamination protocols, our return policy for these items is exceptionally rigid.

  • Condition of Return: We cannot accept returns on any medical or laboratory supplies if the original packaging has been opened, unsealed, or tampered with.
  • Defective or Damaged Supplies: If an item arrives damaged, defective, or if you receive the incorrect item, you must notify us within seven (7) days of delivery.
  • Return Authorization: Do not ship items back to us without prior authorization. Contact our support team with your Order ID, a description of the issue, and photographic evidence. If your return is authorized, we will provide you with specific return shipping instructions (to either our US or Egyptian facility, depending on your location).
  • Upon receipt and inspection of the defective item, we will, at our sole discretion, issue a full refund or send a replacement.

5. Refund Processing

If a refund is legally mandated or explicitly authorized by our support team under the conditions above, the funds will be returned to your original method of payment.

  • International (Stripe): Refunds processed to credit/debit cards via Stripe typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your bank statement, depending on your financial institution.
  • Local Egypt (Paymob): Refunds processed via Paymob may take 7–14 business days to reflect in your account, depending on local banking regulations.
  • Please note: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., shipping the wrong item).
